Hello everyone:
My fasting blood sugar test came back last February, high, 7.2, the second fasting test 3 months later was only 5.8 but I understood I've got the illness: if at any point in time your blood sugar level is higher than 7 then you have diabetes.
So here I am.
I am on a strict diet but that "strict" is based on my knowledge which can be wrong and I often have to adjust my diet.
I read the low carb diet thread yesterday and like it very much. I now start my low carb diet.

Thank you everyone so much for the information you have been posting to the forums.

Regards,
Sandy.

Hello Sandy,

Welcome to the forum it's a great place with a ton of helpful information and good people who are usually very happy to help out.

Someone will probably be along to post the information usually given to new members in a little while. I've had great results with low carbing in terms of Blood Sugar levels and weight loss so it's been worthwhile.

Probably living the most healthy lifestyle I ever had thanks to diabetes diagnosis although I would rather not have the condition. So .... welcome to the club nobody really wanted to join and good luck.

Diane (aka Eilean13)

Hi Sandy and welcome to the forum I'm glad you're getting used to having diabetes now and have already decided to do a low carb diet. This will help you to manage your levels and you will soon see results. Test regularly then you can see the progress you are making. Here is the information we give to new members which I am sure will be very useful to you. If you have any questions then don't hesitate to ask as there is always someone here to help.
