I'm glad you feel better for getting it off your chest Paul and I hope you know that the comments about sharing too much info come from a place of concern.

How do you feel you're doing with your food choices? Have you been given much guidance on that? I'm just asking because cornflakes and toast are very heavy on the carbs (which converts to sugar) and can do crazy things to your blood glucose levels. If you can cut down on the carbs a bit, you might even find that, in time and with your doctor's help, you might be able to lose a tablet. Just a thought.

Unfortunately the standard NHS treatment for depression is throwing some pills at it, but you could ask about non-drug therapy which might enable you to come off the drugs eventually. My personal belief is that antidepressants should be used with other forms of therapy, with the aim being to wean off them eventually. it's not possible for everyone. but if there's a chance I can wean off a tablet, I take that opportunity.

As to Pot Noddles, you should be avoiding them, as you probably can plan ahead, and choose decent food.
If you have a look at my 'blog' I've a photo of some good food I just bought, if you test your BS, most of that won't spike you.
If not, I've also said which foods to avoid, if you're a newbie, or haven't got a meter, I would never advise any diet for anyone, you need to find your own.
(I'm a bit further along, so good control, good numbers, and know what's good and bad for me. I post so others can see it's a good light at the end of the tunnel) so keep at it, drop the pot noodles, and turn it round.
I'm with Loobles here as well, I'm reducing meds, so keep at it, and you'll see good results.
 
we are all different, you go ahead and eat pot noodles as long as you keep your portions down, its up to you, dont let folks tell you what to eat, your an adult
 
Oh Paul, you need some help with your food choices. A breakfast of cornflakes and milk, then toast smeared with marge is about the worst breakfast you could have as a diabetic. You have to forget about cutting down on sugar and remember it is carbohydrates that raise blood sugar levels. Refined sugar is only one of the major carbs that needs reducing. Milk is full of sugar, cornflakes turn to sugar as soon as they are in your mouth, as does bread. All carbs turn to sugar once digested - some much quicker than others. If you buy yourself a blood glucose meter and test before you eat, then 2 hours after your first bite, you will see what I mean. A meter is the best way to learn which foods you can and can't cope with, by testing before you eat and again 2 hours after your first bite. You will get some surprises! It is also a good way to find that much needed motivation to get on top of and control this disease before it controls you. Please have a good read round these forums for some excellent tips and advice, and ask any questions you like.
 
I think he's having a laugh. What type 2 would have 2 bowls of corn flakes and toast with margarine for breakfast?

Hope you're right about that Andy12345 and that he's not daft enough to be really eating them. Personally I think they are the most disgusting thing imaginable on the planet, but each to their own.
