Hello! Mom to a Type 1

Hi Everyone!

I'm Bridget, Mom to an 8 year old Type 1 diabetic. He was dx'd when he was 6 years old. He's now been on the Medtronic Minimed 528 for 6 months and his last a1c 6.3% so we are thrilled with that. I am also a diabetes specialist at iCare Diabetes. I just wanted to introduce myself to everyone as I am new here.
 
Hello Bridget ... and welcome to the forum. I'm newish here myself and I'm a Type 2 and newly diagnosed so I don't know much about Type 1 really.

Daisy will give you some great info and I really hope you hang around the forum and ask lots of questions because you've come to the right place. Also, you must also have a wealth of knowledge which I hope you'll share with us here. Good news that your son's recent A1c was at a good level, he and you must be sooooooooooooo happy about that.
 
Thank you both. And Grace, we definitely were. I believe we danced in the doctor's office because of it. Looking forward to interacting with everyone as well.
