Hi,
Just a quick hello introduce myself on the forum, I've been diagnosed over 11 years ago now and until recently maintaining my blood sugar levels with the assistance of medication, on a diet to loose weight (lost just short of 2 stones) and my levels are all over the place but hopefully they should settle down and got some appointments with Doctor + HCA's to help.
Regards
Ian

Hi Ian, Welcome to us all here, hope you find the help and support we offer useful to you and your journey with diabetes.
Its not unusual to have BS readings a bit erratic to begin with, with the right plans diet, focus, and meds if needed? help and guidance from your HCP in place, over time it will all start to make sense and slot into place.
We are all here to help you along , you have done well also to lose the 2stone and keep going with it too, as you're doing really well.
Ask any questions you feel/need to, someone will come along and help.
Please keep in touch with us all and let us know how you are going along.

Hi Ian and welcome to the forum To help you to control your erratic BG levels I think you might find this advice useful even though you are not newly diagnosed. It was written by our friends and former monitors for new members to the forum. It will help you a lot I think to go back to the basics of managing your diabetes. You may find the diet information particularly helpful. If you need any help, just ask and someone will be there.

Hi Ian

Welcome to the Forum and congratulations on losing all that weight. Weight loss and erratic BS readings may mean that your meds need adjusting. Something to discuss with the medicos.

Regards

Doug

Hi Doug

I'll get an appointment sorted tomorrow, the internet site doesn't seem to be on line at the moment.

Cheers

Ian

Hi Mary

Thanks and I've got in Thursday evening so I'll post any useful update (but think it will be put off until an HBA1C test - 3 week wait according to the receptionist)
