Hello
I'm Abi and I'm a type 2 diabetic. I have just turned 22 which I know is very young to get type 2 and my doctor says I am probably going to have to be on medication for the rest of my life which sucks.
I was told I had this only last July 2011 and since then I have struggled to cope with it. I have lost nearly 6 stone since then and I have my blood sugar levels down to a low 4 to 5. I am struggling with the fact I have had to completely change my diet and I was a terrible chocoholic and its not as easy as I thought.

I have joined this site in hope that there are others like me that can help me get through this and guide me through. I have a very supportive family and boyfriend but they don't quite understand how I am feeling and how I am struggling. Is there anyone that can help a stressed out sweetaholic!!

Hi Abi and welcome. I'm new here too.
Sounds like you're doing everso well to have changed your diet and lost so much weight, well done!
