Thanks for the help and information I've already found on this site.
I've only just been diagnosed, and I don't feel as confused and lost as I was before I found you.

Hi Andromeda

Welcome to the forum

Ask lots of questions, ignorance is not bliss where diabetes is concerned.

Hi Andromeda and welcome to the forum In case you haven't already come across this information, here is the advice we give to new members and I hope you will find it helpful. Ask all the questions you like and someone will be able to answer.

Thank you for your welcome.

I see there are many references to finding and checking your own blood sugar levels. Does this always involve pricking your finger? I have a big needle phobia (a result of prolonged cancer treatment) that may be a problem. I don't even know what the checking methods are. I'll be grateful if you could point me in the right direction, starting at the most basic level, please.

Welcome Andromeda

I'm new here too but I have learnt so much already it's a great resource for the diabetic club!
