Hello, I am type 2 diabetes for 5 years. There are 4 other people in my family with diabetes.I am diet controlled but my readings have got higher over the last couple of years, so I am trying to get some weight off and eat a bit more sensibly. I love this site, everyone is so willing to help and talk.

Hi Daisy, thankyou for your message, am really glad to belong to this site, at least you dont feel so on your own.I will ask if I want to know anything, which I nearly always do.lol
 
Hi I'm Paula (56) and have been type 2 for about 9 years just started on Lxyumia after taking Byetta for a few years. losing some weight now after a long hard battle by deciding to cut all carbs out lost just under a stone in 3 weeks hoping it continues. Also a veggie so good control on cholesterol down to 2.6. have had membership here for a while but just really started using it. Nice to find I am not alone is some of the problems I have faced.
 
Hi Paula, its nice to hear from you thank you. Well done on your weight loss, I too am low carbing and I have lost 7 pounds so far but I am determined to carry on.I am at the doctors next week for my blood test, keeping my fingers crossed that the readings are lower than they were last time so that I can continue to be diet controlled.Hope to speak to all again.
