Hi I'm Fiona and was just diagnosed with type one last Thursday, a bit of a shock to say the least Lots to get my head around but it would be great to talk to others who understand - feel a bit alone at the moment.
welcome to the club, you will find lots of friendly ppl here, have a good look around and a read of the success stories, its great reading and give you loads of encouragement.
Someone who's T1 will be along shortly who is better qualified to give you loads of good advice, am T2 but wanted to say hi.
And dont be shy, ask questions, we've all been there
I was diagnosed T2 3 weeks ago and it is some learning curve and a lot to learn.
Basically before coming here i went to another forum which i think is American and very good, run by diabetics and gives the same advice as in here so i have seen so far.
The best advice help i find is from other diabetics.
