Help! Cholesterol Readings

I'd rather just keep my trigs low, my LDL low, and my HDL in the right place, and not worry over any probably to be honest.

Each to their own though.

The great man also said

' First to re-iterate that statins do reduce the risk of CVD [Something, I have never disputed]'

It doesn't seem to get as much publicity on here though.

My trigs/HDL ratio is 0.5 (0.8 / 1.6). LDL is 3.7 at the moment. A big improvement from 6 months ago, when the ratio of trigs/HDL was 2.4. A big change in what I eat and drink (low carbs) caused the improvements.

You negelected to show the next bit..."Not that potent, about the same as aspirin, but the effect does exist."

So you could take aspirin or statins and have a similar effect ..

Personally I would go with neither but that's just me...
