Hi everyone, I stupidly didnt eat first thing this morning and went to my chiropractor appointment as well as run some errands. I started to feel dizzy when cooking so took my BG which was 5.1, I ate my meal and have tested two hours later but still feel dizzy and now have a headache. My reading now is 6.1 what can I do? Please help

Hi, sorry to read you are feeling unwell. Both your BG's are good readings, so, are you taking any other medication that may cause dizziness or maybe you are starting to come down with something ?
I hope you start to feel better soon,
Generally in the 7's I've only been testing for a few days and yesterday was consistently in the 6's. I woke at 6.5 this morning I'm thinking 5.1 was just too low to go. I feel disorientated

It's probably what is known as a false hypo from what you have said. So perhaps a plan of action would be to sit down nice and quiet for a little while? If this is the cause then your body will soon adjust to your healthier numbers and well done for bringing them down
Bearing in mind the accuracy of our meters your reading of 5.1 could well have been in the low 4s - hypo land. If you're now 6.1, I'd do as CarbsRok suggests and sit down quietly for a while.

I agree i have 2 meters by different companies and they will give different results and even the same meter can give a different result on an other finger within seconds of the first test .
i would double check if your that low and don't feel good.
give it a minute and use another finger on the other hand.
Not so bad now thanks guys. If it happens again I will test another finger but just tested again a minute ago and I'm now reading 5.6 which I believe is good but hunger kicking back in. Could it be that my system cannot yet handle the lower bs?
