I'm going to put my stretch marks to the test. I'll change my name to Shirley and take myself to Greece ... ;-)I have 1lb to loose to.my target 2stone
I will be 11 stone and have a bmi of 24..I am doing it slowly but have stepped it up this weekend to see if I can move it.
I didn't start to loose weight on purpose to begin with it just happened when I reduced my carb intake. Then I did the 5x50 challenge and felt great, lost more weight slowly during it.
I was afraid that I would go back to couch potato so joking suggested to people to do something with me and the new you in 42 challenge was born
. That along with zands wisdom and the support from everyone should be marketed. No fancy diet plan ( lower carb but not fancy) no joining fee ..just good old fashioned help advice and laughter
Long may it continue.

glad you are positive about motherhood and how you have got through all the different experiences in your life, my stretch marks are more on top of legs like tread ,marks, yet like you it reminds me of all the pregnancies and got through them, and i can relate to what you say to we do not relaize how strong we are as women what we do go through till we think about it, hugs xThe scars ( there are many) and stretch marks on my body are a reminder of a life lived to the full. The stretch marks are the price I paid for being a mother to the wonderful people that my children have become. The scars from surgery and accidents are a reminder that I have been through some terrible times, and survived. Show I am tougher than I look.
I won't deny, the scars and stretch marks do pee me off sometimes though.
My husband was full of spirit ...I look beyond physical appearance. It is the spirit that matters most.
I'm pretty sure I'll need a tummy tuck when the weight goes, though somewhere Mr E still has his kit for sewing up prolapsed sheep so it might get done on the cheap. .
A bit like me at the moment. Always whinGIN'!
You don't whinge?A bit like me at the moment. Always whinGIN'!

I'm in a giddy mood. I get like this sometimes. My bg is 4.7. Can it affect moods?

Not so fast with the congrats To everyone on weight loss. I am saying nowt about mine this week, but in the grand scheme of things this is not bad, so I won't be disheartened.Well done everyone on this great weight loss! I can't decide if the flabby fat round my middle is the weight I still have to shift, or loose skin from losing nearly 5 stones! But I don't think I care! Bought some very nice lingerie on Saturday and for the first time in YEARS did not mind being measured in the changing room. Though they were little singe cubicles, not communal ones - a couple of stones to go before I'll do that again!

Well you never know, so it is good to be prepared!I won't bother with any nice lingerie ... not unless Mr McEnroe decides to make an appearance
I see some 4.7s and 4.8s during the week. Usually when I'm ready for my evening meal. My personal experience is that around 5 or below I feel a bit woozy. I know others cope fine at that level but I don't seem to. I had it a lot when I was taking metformin but now I feel better. I've just had a Zand snack and also just under 2g carbsworth of 85% chocolate. It will be interesting to see what my reading is in the morning. Not ready for bed yet.Yes, i like giddy moods. The only way to get through life.
Well done with the BG!
