Hey everyone!

Thank you all again for your continued patience whilst we got the new forum online and stabilised. We've got everything running pretty smoothly for the most part, and now I'd like to dedicate some time to helping you all get your heads around the new forum.

I've started working on a set of video guides to show you all how to use the forum. The ones I've started are mainly for people who are totally new here and have potentially never used a forum before. They cover things like how to register, starting a new topic, replying to topics, sending private messages/starting conversations and reporting offensive posts.

Now I would like to ask you all - is there anything you would like me to create a video guide on and explain in more depth? I've got a couple of things in mind, like the trophy system, new profiles, locating posts you have made and attaching files. Please do let me know! I'll make as many video guides as you would all like
 
Tanks that sounds a good idea for us oldsters who came to puters in their dotage and need constant reminders!
PS Is there any way of making the smilies bigger I need a magnifying glass !!!

I can't think of anything personally as this new layout is MILES better-so once again-Many thanks!!

Only one minor quibble...I didn't get my trophy for being a member for one year on the 29th december {sob} lol

Sure! You can make the whole site bigger by pressing CTRL and + on your keyboard

Just looked in to this. Looks like there was a problem with the settings and nobody received it. Whoops! Thanks for pointing that out, Paul.
 
No it does all look good, however one gripe, why does the print go small after posting, often it's a mix of small and large text.

Ah yes, I've just had a look. That's peculiar indeed... In future, if this happens, simply highlight the entire post (CTRL and A) and then click this button in the top left of the post editor
- this removes all formatting on the post and should fix this.

I am not sure what the trophys are for but when I get enough I AM GOING TO SEE IF i CAN TRADE THEM IN FOR A PUTER THAT TYPES BETTER (see it hit the caps lock on its own again)and knows how to spell

The video guide is a great idea, my brain needs constant refreshing.

Looking for past messages. I would like to be able to go back to my oldest messages (2010) just after I joined, but haven't managed to do it. Is this possible and if so how to do it. If not, is it possible to make it possible? I don't know the thread names of course. It was fairly easy although a fairly lengthy process, to do before.
