Hello. Thank you for that. After controlling things myself for so long I had begun not to trust my judgement any longer. I did feel that I needed to discuss this with someone but there's always the concern of not wanting to bother anyone. I am lucky in that I do have hypo awareness after many years on gliclazide. The low carb diet lost me two stone and bought down my HbA1c to between 47 and 51 so I'm not sure that I was really a candidate for any of these meds despite putting on a few kilos. I try to keep my carb level below 80gms per day with no bread, potatoes, pasta or rice. I've eaten few biscuits or cake since my diagnosis 27years ago. I've maintained it now for four and a half years. At the moment I'm struggling to eat much at all as the Victoza has killed my appetite completely. I will now ring and make an appointment with the Diabetic nurse. You've made me feel better. thank you.
