I have used a tens machine for pain management in the past. Which I think is similar.
I also have walked barefoot on grass for stress relief, (grounding) though this really is not recommended for people with diabetes, as some have neuropathy, meaning they could damage skin if they tread on something sharp, and not be able to feel it.
I have never considered nerve stimulation tech of any sort to help manage my diabetes, though.
