Hello,

Do you carb count? If you are injecting for your carbs it doesn't matter if they are sweet or savoury. Obv healthy is better and you need to think about how quickly the sugar is used by your body.

But if like me, you mean you've been nibbling on the sweets and chocolate as extra carbs on top of your meals then you'll go high and have to correct.

How are you blood sugar levels going?

in the early days it is important to get into a routine of eating as healthily as you can and avoiding sweet things -- they can be introduced later on after you have good numbers consistently.

a typical breakfast might be 2 scrambled eggs and 1 piece of wholemeal toast with 5-10 grams butter or spread.

lunch could be a salad with lettuce , celery , sliced peppers , cherry tomatoes , cucumber, some tuna chunks and 1 or 2 ryvita crispbreads

evening meal might be a cottage pie made with a celeriac and parsnip topping

try not to be fed up and if you can google -- "the five stages of grieving" - this may help you to come to terms with what you are feeling and assist you to move on to the most important things in your life -- looking after yourself so you can look after your son

If your going on a pump you should be carb counting. So you can eat what ever as
Long as you no what's in it and inject for it, they shouldn't be putting you on a pump without putting you on this kind of injection routine.
