Today my blood sugar was at 15.3 mmol/l after dinner then i check again 3 hours later is 14.7mmol/l Too high so (4hours later) i took my lantus 15units then took humalog kwik pen 10units Now its at 18.5mmol/l . Insulin not working? whats going on?
 
you don't mention if you have eaten at all ??

if your fast acting insulin is not lowering your blood sugar by correcting
have you changed insulin cartridge ?
is it being stored in too warm conditions ?

also -- are you suffering with a cold or an infection ?
this can substantially increase insulin requirements.

i would get in touch with your diabetes care team today for for some assistance.

Also are you doing an air test shot to be sure the pen is working?

Sounds like a failed pen or the insulin has gone bad.
 
uhh i did eat before hand. i think it might be insulin i dont know. on tuesday i was at movies and it was really really hot. looking at the numbers since tuesday it really high. maybe it did get bad =/ ill change it and see if it works better. Thanks.

and yes i do airshot 2units
