Hi everyone. I have been reading this forum for a while now and have finally decided to join .
So here it goes .
My name is Cloe , I have type 1 diabetes , I am 22 years old . I live in the uk .
I was diagnosed with diabetes when I was 7 . So have had it for 15 years now .
I am currently on multiple daily injections . Taking lantus and novo rapid .
My hba1c reading I just received is 6.7 % or 50 mol . So I am pretty pleased with that . Have my clinic appointment tomorrow .
Ratios are always changing .
fount it hard when I was first diagnosed , wouldn't of been able to do it all without the support from my family which I still get now and from my loving fiancé . Also from my diabetic nurse who I worked very closely with. But I'm pretty happy with the way things are going since I've got that little bit older . Sounds strange but I don't actually mind being a diabetic . I think why let it bother you , I can't change it .
So anyway here I am , thought it would be great to talk and listen to others experiences .
Cloe
.
Hey Robinredbreast .
Thank you so much for your kind comments . And welcoming me to the forum .
Welcome to the forum. You have such a positive attitude towards your condition, which I think we can all learn from. Great news about your HbA1c result too!
Thanks Chloe. I'm looking forward to my appointment as I know my numbers should be down due to my recent weight loss and low carb eating. I usually dread my hospital appointments as I know I've not been good. But this time it should be an improvement.

Hi Cloe and welcome to the forum. If there is anything you want/need to know just shout and someone will usually be able to help.
I could not think what 1992 was about as you said you are 22. I now feel very old.
