Hi Andy, welcome to the forum. I wish you well with the kidney probs. I've only been diagnosed 4 yrs as type 1 (I'm 69 years old) and this forum has been a great help at times. I'm on quite a few meds for blood pressure and just had stents inserted in my coronary arteries. Like you I also do 4 jabs a day but it's not too bad.
Good luck and hope you get some comfort from the forum.

Hi Andy, my dad had (non diabetic) kidney failure and was on dialysis for about 20 years in total. He had a transplant that lasted for about 10 years which was amazing, but eventually it failed. He always said dialysis days were exhausting. He also said the diet was tough, although I think they have eased up a bit these days. there used to be lots of diabetics on his ward, it's actually one of my first diabetic memories! Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that while it is hard and horrible it can provide a long and better life so hang on in there.

Many thanks for the kind words i do strugge on diaysis days after i come of machine but day after usualy fee ok.my kidney failure was due to diabetes a d high b
