Didn't get the intro bit right - but already without it have had some help from some members as I am a seemingly new type 2 diabetic. Not on any medication as yet - but a total surprise as for a lot of folk,. Doc told me to go and lose some weight and the problem would resolve. ??? If I get to the weight suggested I will be stick thin -at least I think so but it's all to do with BMI I was told. Have bought a glucose monitor etc to get to grips with this . But need to come out to the other side of truly understanding just how much of certain foods to steer clear of . However I know I'm far from alone now on this one .

Hi in
hi I know how you feel completely, if I were to be the "25" BMI and be my ideal height/weight ratio I would need to be half my weight I am now, I probably haven't been that size since I was a teenager, the food is the hardest the dos and donts, the temptations and the forbidden foods, whats more is that everything will be high in sugar and carbs and low in fat !!! or low in sugars and carbs and high in fat, no win situation I see it, I was diagnosed in Feb 2014, still getting to grips with it all, one day I would have lost weight and bam 2 days later put on loads maybe a kilo or 2, I have lost just under 10 kgs since Feb, but still need to lose loads but Im not built like I was when I was younger so I really don't know where I should be aiming for ?? still not been on education course for it either and find myself comfort eating at times, not good, on lyxumia which is helping but along way to go xxx
