Decided to join this forum as I have been type one for around 7 years now and even though up until a couple weeks ago it has been fairly well controlled my knowledge is pretty poor about a lot of things I need to work on that plus I don't know any other type 1's so I can't get advice from them.
Over the last couple weeks my sugar levels have been going a bit strange with it going up to almost 29 with an avarage of around 19 so I think joining this forum should help me a lot in my control.

Hi and a warm welcome to the forum

It's always best to start with some basal testing when your bg control goes astray, although the following is for pump users it explains well how you should do a basal test in different time frames throughout the day:

Hey @kenny1985

welcome along. If you haven't been doing anything differently in the last few weeks that may have made your sugars a bit crazy, basal testing is also what I'd suggest

hi kenny1985

my esteemed colleagues noblehead and mrsass have covered it pretty well.
only other query might be are you suffering with an infection ? ( as this can play havoc with BG's )

otherwise just a really warm welcome from me.
