Hi

I was diagnosed 4 years ago, and for some reason couldn't quite accept that I had diabetis until recently. I have done little but take medication and carry on as normal, I am overweight and have had high blood presure since I was around 20 (18 years ago!). I am noticing things happening to me as I dont go to the docs regularly enough and don't test my blood sugar at all.

I signed up on here for more information on healty eating, and lifesyle change as my wife is increasingly worried about my health.

I will now get to reading

Thanks

Paul

Hi Paul and welcome to the forum Yes, diabetes can become serious but you can do a lot yourself by looking after it properly and I'm glad you've realised you've got to do something about it. Here is some basic information written by our friends Sue and Ken, former monitors, for new members and this should help you to get back on track. Ask as many questions as you like as there is always someone who will have an answer for you.
