Been a type2 diabetic for 23 years, have managed to control with diet and pills. Last blood and urine test all good and all levels within acceptable ranges and perfect blood pressure. I am one month short of 67 (still feel 25! ) Have lost 2 stone this year through avoiding as many carbs as possible and very limited alcohol. Now down to 12 stone which puts my bmi in the good range and I exercise on home gym equipment regularly. Unfortunately my sugar levels - average around 8.0. I’m on Metformin, Gliclazide, Ramipril, Asprin, Aroevastatin & Sitagliptin. Now I have been put on the Trulicity pens with no reduction in the pills I take. Is this common? Read up on all the side effects of this pen so let’s see how it goes!

Hi Graeme910,

Welcome to the forums

I can't be of much help re your diabetic medications as I don't take the same ones, but think there will be plenty of others here that will be of help.

Well done on your weight loss, that is really something to be proud of

Looking forward to reading more of your posts.
