I've had diabetes 20 years now I use humalog and lantus my last hba1c was 6.5 but I've always had a lot of hypos for last 6 months I've tried to keep sugars between 4-8 but after frequent diabetes nurses I've come to the conclusion that by eating what I'd always been told to ie whole meal bread pasta rice etc it's impossible . I'm considering low carb but find it terribly restrictive and awkward when u go out for dinner etc and honestly couldn't see me sticking to that for rest of life ! At my last diabetes specialist nurse visit she mentioned pump in an attempt to keep hba1c good but stop having the hypos -
I'm quite healthy and consultant is happy I have no complications from diabetes but hypos are a major problem and even cause my bold sugars to go high after them for the next 24 hours so need to get rid of them
Any help advice would be greatly appreciated as to how best to
