hi i'm 47 and been diagnosed with T2 for about two years now, at first things were good, reponded well to the meds, just metformin at the time. as time has progressed, the meds have needed to be increased. now taking metformin 500mg and gliclazide 80mg, three times daily, but even this amount doesn't seem to be helping. my bm rarely drops below 15 mmol/l, and thats with keeping a close eye on my diet. i've had my HbA1 tested today, so should have the results in a week. however, i'm fairly sure insulin beckons!!

Hi Pieman and welcome to the forum I'm sorry to hear about the progression of your diabetes and the possibility of insulin. Even though you are not new to diabetes, you may find something useful in this information that was written for new members. Ask as many questions as you like as there is usually someone that can answer.
