Hi to all. Dunedin New Zealand here. Male, single and retired, 67 years, had T1 55 years. Use three Humalog and one Lantus a day. Diet is High carb: Low fat.
66kg Birthday suit. a1c 47mmol (6.5%), BG average 30 days 7.4 mmol. I very really have two tests the same value and never have. BG tend to swing which I understand is a skinny thing, it has not been a problem until now in relation to driving. Overall my time has been even with half poor and the rest okay control. Developed Angia at 54 due to high fat intake which was the diet of the times.
Have two adult children and three grandchildren, will be a great grand pa this year
.
Worked as a clothing cutter and a part time musio: guitar, keyboards, vocals. The Beatles top my number one, Jackie Evancho currently. No pets, just the birds

Due a low while driving, I have to raise my a1c to the recommended 53mmol (7%), I struggle to make 47 and I would like to know if there is any relationship to body mass (weight), to reaching this level and I have no interest in increasing the BG.
Thanks, nice to be here. And can I say, Joining is a breeze.

Hi 9LAL and welcome to the forum. Ask any questions you need to and someone will help. I am a Beatles fan too!

No interest in raising the BG, but stock your car with glucose tablets, and use one as a precautionary measure, each time you drive. That won't significantly raise your BG levels, and you can't drive with your levels going low.

Just my opinion, knowing what it's like to enjoy driving and wanting to keep my licence.

Hello, and welcome to the forum, btw!
