Hi to all members of this forum

I am 47 male and a T2 Diabetic

Still a bit in shock - I went 10 days ago for a nicotine test for my insurance company as I stopped smoking 16 months ago and mentioned in passing to my Doctor that I was really tired all the time and peeing like a pregnant woman.

Oh so says he - off for blood tests and wammo blood sugar of 17.9

so here I am totally green, scared as hell and trying to find my feet with this lifestyle change

Rgds

Hi Colin and welcome to the forum
Here is some information to help you get started on looking after yourself. It is not too complicated and it will help you get your levels down. You need to ask for a testing kit so that you can test before and 2 hours after meals to identify which are the foods you can eat and which you have to reduce or cut out altogether. Some of this information is valid for the UK only.
Ask as many questions as you need to as there are lots of people here to help.
