Hey everyone

I was diagnosed with Type 2 5 years ago and have reasonably good control but need to have slightly better! Thought I'd come and find this forum again as I did join a few years back but let my membership lapse...

Hi Nat
Welcome back .I'm a type 2 also pretty new to it however after 3 mnths i have managed to knock a good few scores down . This has happend with help of the forum and medication .

Hi Nat and welcome back. I see from your signature and from what you say that you need to have better control even though you have been taking care of yourself now for 5 years. Here is some advice that the Forum Monitors have written for new members about how to manage their diabetes. This will help your levels and your weight. You probably won't have seen this when you joined, and even if you did see something, it has been updated recently. So, in spite of your experience I think you will find some very useful information here to help you. It is written for the newly diagnosed but you will have to ignore that bit!

Thanks for the advice Daisy (and Sue/Ken) I've been reading up on lower carb diets and from next week will be adjusting my diet. I used to follow a Low GI diet but slipped back into very bad habits, and I think now HAS to be the time for buckling down and sorting myself out! I'll pop in now and again but very busy restoring a property right now which keeps me away from my PC
