Hiya been diabetic officially just under 2 months now. The doctors can't decided what type as I have pcso however I'm 26 have type 1 in family and suffered with ketones. Been on insulin for a month now which is helping control my levels there not ideal but no longer any higher than 20 on a really bad day. The consultants don't want to add a label to the type on the discharge they said type 1 however he said it will become clear soon as I'm coming off insulin and onto once a week type 2 injection to see what happens more because I'm very needle phobic and gp or nurses have had to do all insulin injections so far. Hence why they were hoping type 2.

Realise that I'm lucky as where I work means I get a lot of advice and being in a pharmacy is useful when having a hypo.
Finding it hard to adjust completely changed my diet that was easy, but things like nights out even if I don't drink my levels drop clubbing. It's a huge adjustment even having to remember to carry out glucose when horse riding and being more planned so people know where I am etc instead of going off for the whole day.

Guess people get used to all the changes? Glad I have a great diabetic nurse and like the consultants so far.

I would keep quiet about that.
Not many here report such luck.
We might just get jealous

Lol guess I'm really lucky as see consultant every 3mths and if bad day just ring diabetic nurse and can go in to talk. Realise I'm very lucky as I know others who have not had same experiences.
