I was diagnosed with type 1 in June this year I was rushed to hospital thinking something else was wrong with me but they checked my bs and I had dka bs was 30 and keytones was 4.5 was very unwell I was in hospital for a week while I was in hospital my hba1c was 117 but the last couple of weeks I've dropped my insulin a little bit but still keeping my sugars up by eating or drinking pop which I don't think I should do so went back to the docs and they sent me for a hba1c and my results were very good they were 40 so doc has dropped my insulin by a little bit more and he said if I keep showing results like this. And eventually get my insulin intake to single figures I might be able to come of insulin and just take tablets I started on 28 in the morning and 16 at tea time I'm now on 22 in the morning and 10 at tea time.
