There are a number of reasons why this may be happening
- you body is readjusting itself to change to the new regime. Give yourself more than two days to work out what is happening.
- are you ill, stressed, have you changed anything else such as other medication?
- you say you have cut down on sugars. Have you cut down on all carbohydrates as these break down to sugar so potatoes and pasta, for example, we also affect your BG.
- typically, our BG meters are accurate to 15%. The difference between 6.9 and 7.3 is less than 15% so they may be about the same reading and not necessarily increasing.
