Hi and welcome,

Good to read you are looking after your dad and want to help him. You have come to the right place.

Can you tell us which medications your dad is taking, and which is his latest one? It can make a difference to dietary choices.

You say his levels have been over 20 for a week or so. At what times were these readings taken? Were they random or first thing in the morning, or after eating?

Hi Alison, I can't see your profile so don't know whether he is T1 or T2. What medication is he on?

Stress or infection can raise BG.
