can anyone tell me what would be a good reading for a diabetic , in the mornings on waking , im t2 diet controlled my bloods are ranging from 5,5 7,7 .6.7 ,, in the mornings they are 6.7 , to some people this is going to be brilliant, but I want to keep it as low as possible if I can as I don't want to go on medication ,,,,,,, not yet anyway .
Well that sounds great what you're doing.. when I was diagnosed people told me I should be generally under 10 and preferably between 4 and 7, so well done
Hi Sandysan, I think I,m at the same stage as you I joined on 3/9/13 and am type 2 diet controlled,I have found that avoiding a late night snack containing carbs seems to help my wake up reading. I,m trying a low carb diet which is giving me great results so far and am seeing my readings drop. I do 30 mins on the exercise bike about an hour after tea which helps too. Regards Dave.

Hi
I'm T2 controlled via oral meds and I've measured mine at 11.9 1st thing in the morning, in fact last night's after dinner reading was 15.1 so yours seem ok at the mo but I'd keep a close eye on them
