Yeh having the chronic pancreatitis would definitely be putting your sugar levels up. Maybe you need to be making some adjustments to your insulin dosages... best to speak to your doc and hopefully they can figure that out for you. Your body would certainly be under stress though with the infection.

i went to the chemist on Tuesday to find out how to bring my blood sugar down as it was 19.1 they phoned the doctors the reply thay got was to monitor my sugar levels they don,t give a dam if you are above the blood sugar limit

I was told (before I started on Insulin) by me DN when my sugar levels are high, to drink lots of water. But I suppose you can just go to A&E. I know, it is not pleasant, but if your access to specialists are like mine, this will give you quicker access.
The best in our area is that we have a diabetic team we can call five working days for advice.
