Have had cheese muffin made from almonds no flour, and alpro yogurt for breakfast this morning, started to feel off about an hour after so I did bg and it was 8.3, high from yesterday, would it have been the yogurt? I had one of the muffins yesterday and seemed ok.

Hi I know we are all different I eat Almonds, and Alpro Almond yogurt this does not affect me, I eat cheese too what else was in the muffins?

Have you checked the total carb amount on your yogurt?
You say you tested after an hour. When you have tested previously, was that also after an hour? Have you followed this up with a 2 hour test? Timing of the tests needs to be consistent if you are trying out new foods.

BG of 8.3 one hour after eating anything isn't high, and would be what most non-diabetics would get.

It's the 2 hour BG that is important. A non-diabetic would have returned to a normal level by then, and it should be the aim of a T2D to do the same.

It was a homemade muffin, almonds, eggs, cream cheese, grated cheese and baking powder. Will re do test though. Carbs in yogurt were 2.1.

Hi @Issy12
I agree with bluetit1802 and britishpub but thought I would add that to understand how your meal affected your sugar levels, you need to do a pre muffin test. Only one reading will just give you a sore finger no useful information
