high intesity exercise

Hi there,
Does anyone find it unpredictable as to what will happen to sugars when doing high intensity exercise?
Sometimes I can drop immediately and stay perfect for around 24 hrs whereas at other times my blood sugar can rise and it takes hours to get it back to normal!
I exercise a lot but find cardio has a more predictive effect on sugars.

I find it very clear cut what will happen in my case.

Steady aerobic stuff, drops like a stone unless i cut back on the pre-exercise meal bolus and trim the basal rate at least 2 hours before exercise.

Weights, yoga, intervals on bike or running will always put BG up, in some cases dramatically. A fall then follows as the liver sucks it all back in adn the muscles replenish.

How well are you measuring intensity would be one question from me?
