My Son has been having this problem for weeks now. Every night he goes to bed with good levels but in the morning they have climbed. I got up to check that he wasn't having hypos in the night and he wasn't his BS was rising every 2 hours.
I spoke to his nurse and we think he now needs his base insulin. We go back upto the specialist tomorrow for Hba tests and to see how he's getting on. I will be discussing this with him, but we suspect it's time to include base now.
