Type 1 High Peptide

Can some one please tell me why the consultant was concerned that I had a high peptide reading from my blood test. My 6 month blood test came back as 37 which 5.5. I keep my levels in single low figures without going hypo.
 
C-peptide? Concern because it indicates insulin production so possibly insulin resistance.
 
It is sounding like you are a type 2 with insulin resistance rather than a type 1. This is most likely why the consultant was concerned. What has he suggested is the next course of action?
