Hi Sara

Are you type 2 or type 1? Have you met the dietician and diabetic nurse? Both will be able to help you.

I noticed your location and that's where I am too.

Hello Sara.

I know it can be a real pain but are you actually counting the carbs in your diet? It is just a thought as we often don't realise just how many carbs can be hidden in the most innocent looking foods. I find the Collins gem Carb Counter book to be very useful to keep me on track. 8)

Are you fighting off any infections or under any stress? They can also cause BG levels to fluctuate.

I the carbs on the packet, but yesterdays food was
boiled egg for breakfast
stir fried veg for lunch
roast chicken, carrots,1 parsnip and cauliflower cheese
a cracker and cheese before bed
it is that time of the month would it make that much difference?
its now 2 hours after breakfast and back down at 7.
thank you for reading

Hi Sara,

I think that it is very likely to affect your numbers. A pain in every way!

Back to the numbers, perhaps you should try something other than the cheese and cracker before bed or even give the cracker a miss and just stick to a small piece of cheese; testing to see what happens of course. The rest of what you are eating sounds ok to me - except for the parsnip which I can't tolerate although you may be ok with it!

Hopefully in two or three days your numbers will settle as your TOTM passes and in the meantime I would just keep doing what you are doing. 8)
