Hello to all.I`m Lara.Tried to be optimistic, but it`s getting more difficult each day..Hope that I will find a new friends, support and perhaps,I might help someone.I am42years old and was diagnosed in November 2008 withDT2,but then in September 2009 I was told that it was wrong, and I`m Type1 really.Still was not sure, but on insulin since then.My case is so complex I was told by my Dr as level jumps ups and dawns...and there were no stability...Still hope for the best

Hi Lara and welcome to the forum You will make new friends on here and everyone likes to help anyone who has problems so just ask and someone will be there and answer you if they can. The former monitors Ken and Sue, have written some basic information to give to new members (even though I know you are not newly diagnosed) which perhaps may contain some advice, for example on diet, which might be useful to help you to stabilise your diabetes better.

Hi Lara,

Welcome to the forum, there's a wide range of people here with different types of diabetes and different experiences so you may even find there's a few people who are in your position who can offer you good advice, and like you say you also could be good help for others here too!

Have you had any tests to determine for definate which type you are?

Which insulin do you use? Do you carb count? alot of questions but could maybe lead to some ideas that may help

Just saying hello-welcome and keep on trying to be optimistic!
