Hi, i'm posting this message on behalf of my daughter who is going to Greece in a few weeks and I want to make sure her insurance for the trip is watertight just in case the worst happens regarding her diabetes. Would anyone be able to recommend a reputable company so she is properly covered.
I'm afraid I can't give a personal recommendation as I haven't managed to get away on holiday since diagnosis. I know that other posters have spoken about extreme temperatures impacting on their blood sugar readings which might be another aspect for her to think about as well.
I've just got holiday insurance for me and T1 partner and I was pleasantly surprised that it was only £15 extra to cover his diabeties! I had to shop around though and some of the quotes were just ridiculous.

We ended up going with Tesco, they gave us the best price by far and the lad on the phone was really helpful and emailed me through the policy straight away. We did ring the post office and they were just short of £100 to cover both of us, nearly passed out!!!

Got a quote from collumbus direct, a yearly multitrip policy for my wife and me, £64 or £73 to cover my Diabetes, high blood presure and Asthma, as well. Best quote so far..
