hope this is good advice!

My doctor has said to me take 3 (instead of the usual 2 ) tablets per day........ glucophage sr 750mg.
ive just checked my levels and they are 12.9 after 4 hours of eating,is this a bit high?
I was told its normal as they are slow release tablets...thats how they work.

How long does it take for the tablets to kick in and bring the sugar levels down?

up until yester day i was taking 1 x glucophage 750mg with 1 x pioglitazone 15mg...with breakfast
and 1x 750mg glucophage in the evening with a meal.

Pioglitazone is said to cause weight gain although ive not gained any ...ive not lost any either,even after jogging for 6 weeks every night,so the doc dropped the pioglitizone tablet out and said take glucophage in its place.
my cholestorel level was 4.1.........hba1c 7.4
my liver reading is 69 ....but dont know why(could be medicatio) should be readin 20.

ive been told to take 1 aspirin everyday and i cholestoral reducing tablet every night as they are trying for diabetics to have a much lower cholestorol level.
Ive got to go in 4 weeks for a blood check to see if im benefitting from the change.

A simple reduction in carbohydrates will make as much difference as increased medication (if you are not already controlling your carb intake).

Your 69 (Bilirubins I think) is a bit high but some people (me included) just have a slightly higher reading anyway. It is called "Gilbert's syndrome". It causes no problems but it might be best not to take to much paracetamol.

paracetamol ? never take it.......well ive maybe had 1 tablet in the last 3 years
