Does anyone know roughly how much CHO there is in an average hot cross bun? It's that time of year already and I do love a hot cross bun.... I usually get Tesco own baked ones if I give in to temptation.... But because they're from the in-store bakery there's no nutritional info.
The average is about 35g carb each - of which sugars approx 17g - used to love a cross bun toasted with a nice slice of cheese - not now though - cheese is ok but the bun not so much - probalby a one of treat at Easter if you really have to have one M7S do mini ones but not sure what the carbs are for those
just realised you are T1 so you can enjoy a treat of a cross bun now and then - me as a T2 I just have to sniff em - can I stand behind you and catch your crumbs!
I wouldn't dare eat a whole one, but might steal a tiny bit from someone else. Tesco should have the info somewhere. Have you tried asking for it. I find Tesco pretty helpful, even though I don't shop there often.

Tesco lighter choices ones are 37.2g. Why yes there is a pack in my kitchen, right now
When I'm stuck for a value I often find searching for it on the supermarket websites helpful as most things have the nutritional info up now. Handy since I regularly seem to tear the vital part of the packet with the info as I'm opening it.
