How do you carry your Omnipod PDM

The Omnipod is great. I really like it!

You need to carry the PDM. You also need to carry a wallet, phone and keys. My pockets are a bit full.

Currently I carry the Omnipod PDM, lancet and strips in a blood meter case. I then put that in my pocket.

Are bulging pockets, a man bag or a bum bag fashionable for a 40 something man?
 
I just carry mine around in the case that was provided with the PDM, it holds the strips, lancer, battery's, insulin vial and has a compartment to hold a spare Pod and some mylife DailyDose syringes, the case fits into my coat pocket but if I'm with my good lady she'll put the pump case into her handbag.

If I'm out for just an hour as in walking the dog I just leave it all at home and just carry some glucose with me ( I have good hypo awareness symptoms).

Much like yourself I really like the Omnipod Pump
 
Been looking at phone and camera cases as I find the case included with the PDM a bit big. Have got one of the Gel cases for the PDM and ordered a torch case with belt clip that the glucose sticks and lancet should fit in. In cold whether, fine can wear a coat with lots of pockets but if I dare wear shorts........
 


Did you order the Gel Case from Ypsomed? Not seen these before.

Ordered direct from Ypsomed. Unfortunately the case covers the USB port but like with my phone, I feel it will be protected from knocks so carrying loose in pocket seems fine.

Thanks for the reply, I have a skin on my PDM that offers some protection from knocks and bumps, the pump rep give it to me on my first day at the pump clinic, I'll take a look at the Gel Case @zerospam
 
Do you guys have cases for the monitor? If not you can order them free when you get your supplies

Yes for the PDM, as said you can also get the skins for them in a variety of colours, apparently they are free from Ypsomed.
 
Hi Just wanted to find out from anyone on the omnipod what hospitals fund them. I am currently under Charing Cross Hosp in London which i transfered to a year ago due to bad experiences with my local hospital in Essex. We are looking to move back to london in the near future as the London Hospitals are a lot more helpful and go out there way to do what they can for you. But i have read a lot about the omnipod and it sounds great what with the no tubing would suit both me and my youngest daughter whos 12 years old who was diagnosed type 1 in july 2013.
