How do you do "footers"?

Quite a few peoiple seem to have a fixed "footer", showing the meds they're on, type of diabetes, and maybe a quote. I find this really useful sometimes, as you can consider their comment/question in line with their type of diabetes, meds etc. So,:-
1) Do you think we should use footers more (optional of course)
2) How do you do it!? That is, how do you set them up?
 
Hi Malc,

I think they just use the signature function and separate it by a couple of lines. Personally I don't like listing meds etc. but that's just me. Happy for other people to do it, natch.

Here is what to do to make your signature:

User Control Panel
Profile
Edit signature (even if you are making one for the first time)
Type your text in the box
The usual Submit
