How Long Have You Had Type 1 Diabetes?

Hey everyone. Just wondering how long you all have had Type 1 Diabetes for. I've had mine 20 years now. And it is still a pain sometimes. Hope you are all well.
 
Today is actually my diaversary august 14th 1972 so 44 years today.
Go me !!!!
And yeah it has its moments but so can life
Glad to be a part of it !!

I have been type 1 for just over nine months, and I reckon it will always be a pain!

Happy Diaversary! I have never head that before. It is very clever, I love it.
 
I've had it since I was 4 and now 45, better nowadays with fine needles, my parents we're always worried with me having bruises from the old glass syringes and nail needles.
 
21 years - was diagnosed just before I got married!!! I think the stress brought it on. It's gone downhill since then (the diabetes!!
)
 
7 years and 4(ish) months, still chipping away at it one day at a time
 
Hi I've had it 44 years and it does bring it difficulties. You do get fed up with it but you know that will turn around . Keep strong and positive and allow yourself some off times but not too much
