No, people have vastly different insulin needs and sensitivity, what would be a big dose for one person might have only a small effect on another
Normally people make small changes gradually , giving time for each change to demonstrate it's effect. Even small changes can have bigger results than anticipated. You really ought to contact your nurse/doc if you feel that your glucose levels have risen a lot and you feel that you need larger doses.


This NHS patient info leaflet from Lanarkshire gives details of the gradual adjustment of M3 when taken twice daily.
