How often do you change your lancets and needles?

One thing I have wondered over the years is how often people change lancets and needles...

I remember when I was a teen I only ever changed a needle when I changed a cartridge. I am a bit better now but still prob only change every 5 a 6 injections

Lancets on the other hand is a whole different story. I change these so infrequently I reckon I've made one box last years.

What about anyone else? How many times do you change your stabby bits?
 
In the glass syringe days, I changed the needle when it got too blunt

Since using pens, I would change my needle about once a day - but now I'm using NovoTwist needles (bayonet attachment) and change them every time. Also prevents air bubbles in the cartridge.

Lancets I change when they get too hurty.
 
Needle now gets changed every time, always start the day with a new lancet and change it when I remember, especially if I've been out & about and hands weren't as clean as they could have been.
 
Needles changed every time and lancets every 3-4 uses
 
Needles changed each and every time !
Lancet drum changed when all is used up 6 rotation uses per drum !

I personally have to - prevents any complication(s) for me .
As have septis medical history .

Even have antibiotics pre dental treatment and after dental
treatment too .
 
my needles for my lantus n humalog with each injection they are new needles … the lancet is another matter, that I can go weeks without chaining which isn't good, trying to keep to the habit of changing it at least once a day, but even that I fail at most of the time = annoyed with myself for not doing better (i've got the same box of lancets that expired back in 2007 ::face paws:

I change my needles with every injection I need . I didn't use to change my lancets a lot to be fair , but lately I have also got into the habit of changing my lancet at each bm and so far I have stuck at it lol !!

 
most of the time, but because of the break, i'm finding it a little difficult at times, but I know a blunt needle and a blunt stabby lancet, as they are a bit more painful

I'm glad that I'm not the only one making my lancets last longer .

I used to change them once a day, (testing approx 4/5 times a day), then when I purchased a Codefree meter (so that I didn't waste all my currently prescribed test strips) I test between the two meters so ..... (little voice) I now change them when I remember or squeal.
 
Hello all, I have always used and new lancet at every bs testing time and the once a day victoza has a new needle put onto pen at each use, I was told to always use fresh lancets each time to prevent germs ans infections, needle unit fresh each day, ttfn
 
use one lancet twice as I wash my hands before testing
 
i change needles and lancets after every use
