You Aussies - you can use those visits for other specialties too - opthalmology, dietician, diabetes education, psychology, and most impressively, exercise physiology. I went to see an exercise physiologist at the local uni, and not only did I get some great tips on the best ways to exercise for my set of issues, but I also joined a couple of weekly group exercise sessions and was recruited into a study which gives me a further free session in a few months to see how I'm doing with it all. We get 5 free visits a year total as part of the GP management plan for chronic disease, and these can be extended to 10 under some circumstances.
