I have had Insulin treated diabetes since 1999. I'm really focused on looking after myself at the moment
I have endless appointments
- Six Monthly Hospital Reviews
- Blood Test (7 days before)
- Six Monthly GP Reviews
- Blood Test (7 days before)
- Diabetes Nurse appointments for BGS management and other therapies
- Podiatry
- Retinopathy
- Psychotherapy (weekly)
How do I explain to people I work with that I'm always doing important stuff to do with my health, but I'm not going to die or be seriously ill but I do need to be with the Doctor?
How do other people manage these expectations?
In the past - I've just not taken my Diabetes seriously and so I've not availed myself of all the therapies I need.
