Has anyone got a hypo band, if so are they worth getting? I'm not sure if I should buy one or not

Well being a T2 Hypos are not much of a problem for me but if you have night time hypos then I think they are a good idea. Though a little expensive.

I have used a hypo band & it didn't work for me. They don't detect hypos or blood sugar, they detect cold sweats. So if you reliably get a cold sweat as your hypo symptom they might be really good for you, if not it will just be an annoying jangly thing on your wrist.

Is there a reason you are looking at hypo alerts? Are you struggling with awareness or hypo at night?

I got a CGM which is accurate and does reliably alarm when I'm dropping. But this is an invasive continuous glucose monitoring system which costs a lot more than a hypo band.

I just thought it might be a good idea, especially during the night, but didn't want to buy one and it didn't work

If you are concerned about hypos at night and you get cold sweats as a hypo symptom it might be worth a try.

Sorry, didn't mean to put you off just because it didn't work for me. It might work for you. Someone might be along with a glowing review shortly

I've just gone on the pump so I'll see how it goes thank you
